This outfit allows the fly angler to pursue fish in lakes, streams, and creeks with confidence. At 9 feet in length and designed to cast a 5 weight fly line, this rod is by far the most common and preferred set up for the fly angler. This graphite rod is beautifully crafted with a matte green finish and matching green aluminum reel seat. Its fast action allows for quick loading and ease of casting.
The rod breaks down into 4 pieces for ease of travel or those who prefer to hit the trail.. The nylon cordura carrying case allows you to store the reel on the rod to keep your outfit together securely.
We’ve matched the rod up with a graphite composite fly reel to keep the entire combo light in hand. The reel has a variable disc drag allowing you to set the tension accordingly while the large arbor design allows fast pick up of your fly line.
The line is the Leland WF5F Instructor’s Line which makes learning to fly cast a breeze. This combo will get you into the sport and have you smiling from ear to ear while either practicing your casting on the grass or chasing trout in your local waters.
