This is one rod I’d like to add to my weapons. I had the chance to borrow this rod for the Bow River. The ten foot length was a huge asset with super sensitive action, any nibbles were immediate hook sets! It’s versatility would make this the only rod I’d fish on that river.

Love this rod, worked great paired with a 7wt floating line. Love the fact that you can switch out handles and increase or decrease weight in the butt section. Smooth action and a great 5wt switch rod, my only complaint is I’m use to a little longer front grip on a switch rod.

This is my favorite trout spey rod. I have it paired up with an 225 grain OPST Commando Smooth line, with 7 1/2 foot sink tips and I can turn over size 6 Sculpzillas like a champ! I like the shorter cork handle for trout spey because it keeps my casting arm tucked in the pocket when casting Skagit heads. Comes in handy when casting with brush behind you. Nice moderate fast action too. Not too mention its a pretty good looking rod too as well as great performance.

TROUT SPEY!! This is it. Everything one would want. Great with a compact shooting head but also great with a standard 7 weight single hand line (Rio Gold). It throws great and has landed me some nice fish. My favorite line up is a 225 grain skagit style line with a bit of T10, a short piece of Maxima, a Pat’s Stone, topped off with soft hackle of the day. Enough talk, I gotta go fish….
