Red Truck Fly Fishing has teamed up with John Patrick Rivera of The Fly Rod Company in Idaho Falls, ID to bring you the Red Truck Bamboo by Rivera 5wt Fly Rod Building Kit. Available in two lengths — 7’6″ and 7’9″ — every component in this kit has been selected and handcrafted to heirloom standards. This is a kit built for anglers who appreciate the tradition, the craft, and the reward of putting it all together themselves.

Bamboo Blank

• 2/2 configuration — 2-piece rod with 2 tip sections
• Length, line weight, and model written on blank and dipped in traditional spar varnish
• Split, planed, and glued by John Patrick Rivera using traditional methods
• Splined for optimal straightness, building, and casting
• Abundant in power fibers
• Flamed and ready to build
• Guide spacing provided for optimal casting

Ferrules

• Pre-lapped nickel silver ferrules
• Handcrafted and made in the USA
